Discover the centuries-old Finnish sauna tradition at the Lantana Road Branch of the Palm Beach County Library on Tuesday morning, September 16th. The Barrel sauna will be on site, along with a portable ice bath. Recognized by UNESCO in 2020 for its cultural significance, Finnish sauna culture is not only practiced in Finland, but is also practiced and spreading around the world. Librarian Steve Posti and Hanna Kiuru, a local Finnish-American resident, will discuss the health benefits of sauna use and how taking sauna the Finnish way can even be achieved here in Florida. |
